MYO HAS SCHEDULED OUR FALL CONCERT ON DEC 10, 2021. THIS CONCERT WE HOPE TO PLAY LIVE AND WITH THE GREELY HIGH SCOOL MADRIGAL SINGERS CONDUCTED BY SARAH BAILEY. WE WILL BE KEEPING OUR STUDENTS PLAYING AND CREATING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, BUT WE MUST PLAN CAREFULLY SO THAT WE CAN SAFELY PLAY IN LIVE PERFORMANCES.

Combined Holiday Concert with the Greely Madrigal Singers

This was a concerto concert with Julia Lancia on Viola playing Telemann Concerto in Gmajor, and Emma Matusovich on French Horn playing the Mozart Concerto No. 3 K447.
Other pieces will include the Brahms Serenade No. 1, Op 11 with the Augusta Symphony; Aaron Copland's, Hoe-Down from "Rodeo"; and The Empire Strikes Back Medley by John Williams arranged by John Whitney.

Madrigal Singers under the direction of Sarah Bailey will perform, celebrating the holidays and the beautiful time of year. Their pieces will include Joy to the World! by Mason(Handel)/arr. Rutter, Snow-Flakes by Longfellow/Charles Kaufmann, Carol of the Bells by Leontovich/arr. Wilhousky. Orchestra pieces will include Fidelio Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven, Jurassic Park by John Williams, Symphoney No. 41 K551 by W.A. Mozart. Combined performance pieces of Candlelight Carol by John Rutter and a traditional Carol Sing Along.
MAY 7, 2017 3:00 Snow Pond Center for the Arts
As is tradition with MYO our May 7th Concert will be a combined concert with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra. This year we travel to Sydney Maine to play at the beautiful Snow Pond Center for the Arts, at 8 Goldenrod Lane.
This year's Senior Concerto soloist is the talented flautist Chris Pettersen who will attend the Univierstiy of Southern Maine as a flute performance major. He will be missed at MYO next year. He will be performing the Pastorale Hongroise Op. 26 by Franz Doppler.
More of the performance includes; The Moldau by Bedrich Smetana, Russlan and Ludmilla Overture by Mikhail Glinka, the first movement of the Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 by Johann Sebastian Bach, Fiddler on the Roof Medley music by Jerry Bock and the last movement of the Symphony No. 5 Op 107 known as the Reformation Symphony by Felix Mendelssohn.
Join us in this our final concert of the 2016-2017 year. This collaborative effort brings together two groups dedicated to the performance of fun and challenging literature.Previous Concerts:

Join MYO in welcoming back the fabulous Greely Madrigal Singers under the direction of Sarah Bailey. Selections from Georges Bizets Carmen Suite, and a movement from Beethoven's 5th Symphony will anchor a concert filled with Carol of the Bells, Coventry Carol, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah and much more. Sing along and bring a cheer for the Holiday.
MAY 15TH 2016 CONCERTO CONCERT
Join us May 15th at the Yarmouth Performing Art Center at 3:00 P.M. for our Spring Concert. This concert will feature five Senior concertos with music by by Carl von Weber, F. Seitz, W. A Mozart and C. Saint Saens. MYO will be performing with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra and will be conducted by Paul Ross.
