CHANGES TO IN-PERSON REHEARSAL.
At MYO we hope to be rehearsing together as soon as possible, but we intend to continue to play together virtually. We will rehearse via zoom every week this fall. MYO will divide into smaller Chamber Groups that will work together with our Conductor Ben Richmond and our coaches, Jeanie Wester- Strings, Jennifer Turmel - Strings and Ray Libby- Winds and Brass. Each small group will have repertoire edited and arranged by Ben Richmond. The Full Orchestra will also have 3 pieces to work on with click track acuracy that will culminate in a recording of our "concert" in December. When auditions are complete we will work to give each student a challenging and supportive musical experience as we anxiously await the end of this COVID 19 pandemic. We look forward to working virtually and in person with the students of the Maine Youth Orchestra.
